The Benelli Legacy® is a highly functional and ultra reliable Semi-Auto Shotgun combined with elegant lines and refined artwork. The Legacy in 28 gauge features a beautifully satin finished walnut stock and a nickel-plated lower receiver engraved with doves and quail. The slim, trim, and lightweight design make the Legacy an ideal shotgun for upland bird hunting, where there's a lot of walking and the need for a fast handling. At the heart of the Legacy is Benelli's ultra-reliable Inertia Driven™ operating system, consisting of just 3 main parts: the bolt body, an inertia spring, and a rotating bolt head. The smaller mass of parts in the action, and no heavy gas operating components housed inside the forend, aid in making the Legacy extremely well balanced. Though the Legacy is lightweight, the rotating bolt head features steel locking lugs that lock into the steel barrel creating a steel-to-steel lock that becomes even tighter during firing. The Benelli Inertia Driven action is known to withstand tens of thousands of rounds with no failures. Benelli manufactures Legacy barrels with their Crio® System, which creates an even-grained, slick surface resulting in less resistance against wads and shot for uniform shot patterns and cleaner barrels. The carbon fiber ventilated, stepped rib, with a red bar front sight and mid bead, provide an excellent sighting plane.
