Description:
Details Newly manufactured by PMC, this ammunition is great for target practice and range training. It is both precision manufactured and economical serving as a great alternative to the steel cased products or the higher priced defensive products that are available. Video Transcript: PMC stands for Poongsan Munitions Corporation and is manufactured in South Korea. They've been around since the 1970s and currently manufacture almost all the ammunition for the South Korean military, everything from ammo for small arms all the way up to 8 inch Howitzer shells. Even though they're a foreign company, PMC invests heavily in American steel and copper companies, and they employ a lot of Americans. The ammo we used for this review was PMC Bronze 230 grain 45 ACP. It has a lead core, full metal jacket bullet, a reloadable brass case, and a non-corrosive primer. Despite the name, there's no actual bronze used in the ammo. It's just a definition of the brand. With a muzzle velocity of just 830 feet per second, PMC Bronze is among the softer recoiling 45 ACP range ammo available, making it a good choice for long shooting sessions. Even though it's on the less expensive end of the spectrum for brass case 45 ammo, the PMC bronze performed admirably. We had no failures or malfunctions in any of our six test guns. Accuracy was also pretty good. We got a decent 10 shot group shooting from the bench at 15 yards with a Springfield XDM. If you're looking for inexpensive brass case 45 ACP practice ammo, then PMC Bronze should definitely make the list.
