Designed by Ben Petersen (Knafs, WIUG, Ben Banters, et al.), the WE Knives Banter is a simple and straightforward liner lock folder built based on Ben's extensive research and experience with knife trends over the last decade. The Big Banter is the next evolution offering the same utilitarian design in a larger platform. This version comes with a gray stonewashed CPM-20CV blade and green canvas Micarta handle scales. Brand new, direct from WE Knife Co. Blade: The drop point blade rides fast and smooth on a caged ceramic ball bearing pivot opening via ambidextrous dual titanium thumb studs. A nearly full flat grind on the tall blade provides solid slicing performance while retaining good durability with a spine swedge tapering the tip for piercing and detail work. A jimping on the spine and generous index choil deliver traction and exceptional control in use. The rugged matte gray stonewashed finish is discreet and hides wear from use. Handle: Barrel spacers join the nested steel liners and handle scales in a lightweight, easy to maintain open back construction. Durable, weather resistant canvas Micarta scales offer traction for a secure grip while being easy on your pockets. An ample handle and large choil provide plenty of real estate for the biggest of hands. The inset liner lock for reliable operation and secure use with scallops offering decisive purchase and added traction during use. Carries via a right-hand stainless steel deep carry clip. CPM-20CV: CPM-20CV (analog to M390 and CTS-204P) is a premium powder metallurgy (PM) stainless steel with high level edge retention and corrosion resistance. Relatively easy to sharpen, the coarse microstructure gives this steel lower toughness.
