It is fitted with a modified AK-style safety that has an additional lever that permits faster "safety on" operation. The safety lever is also duplicated on the left side of the receiver. Stocks are welded into place per import regulations. This Version of the Vepr 12 Semi Auto Shotgun features the original metal folding stock (welded open).
