This version has a satin finished Nitro-V stainless steel blade and black stainless steel frame lock handle construction. Brand new, direct from CIVIVI Knives. Blade: Made from satin finished Nitro-V stainless steel the simple drop point blade comes with a razor sharp hollow grind and long spine swedge for excellent slicing and piercing performance and visual appeal. The sub-3 inch blade is ideal for urban or office carry while delivering enough edge to handle the majority of cutting tasks. The caged ceramic ball bearing makes for smooth operation and fast deployment via the flipper tab while jimping on the spine adds traction and makes for easy indexing. Handle: Dual slabs of chamfered, black coated stainless steel form the simple and robust handle with two barrel spacers completing the open back construction. The back scale is cut to form the integral frame lock which is smooth, solid and reliable in operation for safe use. The rearmost barrel spacer allow for inline lanyard attachment. Carries via a reversible, tip-up, stainless steel deep carry pocket clip. Nitro-V Stainless Steel: Nitro-V is a modified AEB-L with Nitrogen and Vanadium added for enhanced performance. You get is a very fine-grained steel with excellent edge stability allowing for a very fine, high performance slicing edge. It is easy to sharpen, has better edge retention than AEB-L and is one of the toughest stainless steels.
