Description:
The Boker Ridge is a workhorse flipper with a timelessly functional spear point blade built on a simple and utilitarian frame lock foundation. The simple, straightforward handle design is elevated with 3D machined ridges on both the front G10 scale as well as the steel frame lock back. These ridges give the knife its name and add traction in the hand and aesthetic appeal. A ball bearing pivot delivers fast, smooth flipper deployment.
Brand new, direct from Boker Knives.
Blade: Coming in at just under 3.5" the D2 tool steel blade of the Ridge is 4mm thick for a high level of toughness which is only enhanced by the saber grind. A top swedge delivers a tip that is both robust yet fine enough for solid piercing performance. A ball bearing pivot delivers fast deployment via the integral flipper tab which has jimping for decisive deployment.
Handle: The handle of the Ridge is simple, utilitarian and neutral for multiple grip positions. The knife derives its name from the 3D milled ridges present on both the G10 front scale and bead blast finished, stainless steel back. The back also forms the integral frame lock which is rock solid and smooth to operate. An open back construction makes for easy cleaning and maintenance. The integral flipper tab and a subtle finger cutout provide added security.
Carries via a right hand, tip-up, stainless steel deep carry clip in bead blast finish.
D2 Tool Steel: D2 is a cold work tool steel that has been used as a die cutting steel since WW II. D2 has a high chromium content for a tool steel (10-13%) which gives it greater corrosion resistance than most high carbon steels making it semi-stainless. D2 offers a good combination of toughness, corrosion resistance and wear resistance for a good all around knife steel.
