Ballistic lines help determine holdover for distance, while a series of cascading dots to the left and right of help compensate for wind. The dots are calibrated for a 10 MPH wind value. For a 5 MPH crosswind, just halve the distance between the dots, or double the distance for a 30 MPH crosswind.
