Manufactured under Federal's American Eagle brand, this product is brand new, brass-cased, boxer-primed, non-corrosive, and reloadable. It is a staple range and target practice ammunition.
This is top of the line, American-made range ammo - it doesn't get any better.
Video Transcript:
American Eagle is part of Federal's premium line of training ammunition. It has a great reputation for reliability and consistency. Like all Federal ammo, American Eagle is made in Minnesota, here in the US. The brass primers and casings are all made in the same facility, which helps maintain a high standard of quality control.
For this test, we shot some American Eagle 165 grain in a 40 Smith & Wesson. It has a reloadable brass case, full metal jacket bullet with a lead core, and a non-corrosive primer. Our accuracy test was performed at 15 yards from a bench rest using a SIG P226. You can see from the 10-shot group that we got pretty good results. It was just a little tighter than the group we shot with 180 grain 40 pellet test.
Just as expected, there were no failures in any of our test guns. And I couldn't be happier with the overall performance we saw. Because of its accuracy, reliability, and reloadable brass cases, American Eagle is some of my favorite range and training ammunition. And even though it's part of Federal's premium line, it comes at an affordable price.
