We seem to be in the Monsoon Season around here and the place I go shoot is a mud pit so I haven't been able to shoot my new R95 yet. But I look at it every day. Its every bit as slick and smooth as the reviews on YouTube say it is. I am hoping that with its conventional rifling and 1/12 twist this gun shoots my lead bullet loads. From what I have seen these are exceptionally accurate guns for a 30-30. The fit of the stock is good and I really like the matt blue finish on the receiver. I also like the soft butt pad that comes with the gun. Be aware that Rossi doesn't include a hammer extension to make the gun safer to cock and uncock with a scope mounted. The only thing I really didn't like about the gun was the rear sight. Its overly tall and you can't mount a scope with it in place. Its so tall its like looking between Bugs Bunny's ears to shoot. In the videos on YT the guys that are scoping their guns are just removing the rear sight. Thats what I did and replaced it with a Marbles folding sight in the .360-.460 height range. Now the laser bore sight has it so the adjustable blade is in the center of the adjustment range. Perfect. I have a 2-7 Vortex scope mounted and still have my open sights in case I need them. Overall I am very happy with the gun.

This rifle is absolutely stunning to see in person. Rossi did a fantastic job with the fit and finish on this. The lever is incredibly smooth to work. This rifle has by far the smoothest loading gate I've loaded. I can't say enough good things about this rifle. Check one out sometime. Cheers!
